If you are looking for something healthy to eat, then the acai berry may have something wonderful to interest you. Over the past years, the acai berry has gone from pretty much unknown to very popular within a very short period of time. People are already taking vitamins and food supplements and they welcome a natural alternative that may do the job as well or even better.
Nowadays, most people have heard of the term antioxidants and free radicals. The acai berry is high in antioxidants that are effective in fighting free radicals especially peoxynitrite free radicals. Some scientists say that the acai berry has the highest amount of antioxidants when compared to other fruits but the jury is still out on that fact. No matter which fruit has the highest level of antioxidants, the acai berry is no doubt one of the top performers.
You may have heard the term anthocyanins. The acai berry has a large amount of anthocyanins in it. The main anthocyanins in the acai berry are cyanidin-3-glucoside or C-3-G and cyanidin-3-rutinoside. These are just two potent antioxidants in the acai berry. There are more antioxidants present which makes the acai berry a good source for fighting again many types of free radicals.
The acai berry contains high percentage of essential fatty acids. This is why some people take the acai berry pills instead of fatty acid supplements as a source of their essential fatty acids. More than 50 percent of the acai berry, based on its dry weight, is good fats. The oil extracted from the acai berry consists largely of monounsaturated fats and some polyunsaturated fats. The fatty acid content of the acai berry is similar to that of olive oil.
Protein is very important in your diet. Unlike other fruits, the acai berry is high in protein. The acai berry’s protein profile is similar to an egg. But, bear in mind that the protein content can vary from an acai berry to another. Some acai palm trees bear acai fruits that have higher protein content than others depending on the condition which the trees grow in.
When talking about the nutritional profile of the acai berry, you cannot forget that the acai berry has a lot of vitamins in it. There are many vitamins including vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. The acai berry pulp is where most of the vitamins are. This is why, when choosing an acai juice, you should look for one with the acai pulp in it, not a pulp free one. When drinking the acai juice, you will have most of the vitamins that your body needs.
It is not surprising that people eating the acai berry or drinking the acai berry juice can stay healthy and strong. The acai berry is packed full of nutrients, vitamins and minerals as well as fiber and everything else that we have already discussed. You will find that you have lots of energy when eating the acai berry. The berry is also low in sugar which makes it even healthier.

I sometimes ponder the idea of sneaking veggies into Josh’s very…well, southern diet (that is when we manage to actually live together, you know, that old story.) But now I’m wary! I’d at least have to test everything first, because if he ever wised up to my plans…well that would definitely start out with a “Now see here, woman…”

There are tons of diet plans - diets that restrict the amount of food you eat, others that are protein heavy, but for many people these diet plans simply do not work. Maybe to a select few, but we all have different bodies, and need different diets - …
WEIGHT WATCHERS! The most recommended diet among doctors. I have been on it and I have lost to date 31 lbs. I do not try that hard, I just am conscious of what I am putting into my mouth and I count it.
I too have a body where I have a beautiful shape, very muscular but is was semi-covered with fat. Just losing 30 lbs made all the difference. Give it a try.
Losing weight doesn’t have to involve strange diets or magic diet plans, special exercises or even the ‘magic’ of pills or fitness gadgets. To lose those extra pounds you need to make some changes.
stop eating miss "no diet plans" haha!
I am sort of mulling a wacky idea these days. You know how dentists like to give out printed “treatment plans” with every conceivable thing they can get money for on it? (I am cynical, live with it.) Anyhow–much as I often criticize these, maybe doctors should do the same–hand out a printed sheet with the plan on it. Sort of like they should, but do not always do, when you leave the hospital. That way, one could look over the elements calmly at home, at leisure (and not rely on those second parties always recommended to be in the room–and which I have found to be pretty unreliable listeners). The plans could be boilerplate loaded in the computer the docs like to tap on these days. One element could be: ATTEMPT TO LOSE 10 LBS. Reason: Studies (list one or two) show that even this small amount can change your blood sugar profile, etc. How: A balanced 1500-calorie diet for one week follows on here. Many patients like to write down their meals each day. ETC. Then the next element of the plan would be listed. TAKE A STATIN. Why…studies….etc.
Some people learn visually, some take in information from printed forms, some can listen well–this plus the doctor speaking–could be effective and time-saving.
What would my reaction be if presented with such a plan? I don’t know…what do you think? I remember memorizing the surgery instructions when I had all my eye operations–I really took the written matter to heart. Unfortunately was poorly done.
Just an idea..and goes beyond handing out those pamphlets, which are very bland..
yes you can but you need to do lots of exercise (cardio 3-4 times a week depending on how busy you are) and eat a balanced diet (cut down on junk food!) 80%-90% of diets dont work and people gain back the weight they lost during the diet.
