Eat several ( 5 to 6 ) small meals a day rather than waiting long periods and having larger meals. The reason for this is that by eating regularly you will keep your metabolism consistently active. Having long periods between meals will have a negative effect because the metabolism will slow down to save energy as it senses that you are been starved.
Always make sure you have breakfast. The saying ” breakfast is the most important meal of the day” is certainly true for dieters. The reason for this is that when you sleep your metabolism slows down ( again because it senses the body is been starved ) and it will not speed up again until you have eaten.
Eat breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack, dinner and followed by a snack an hour before going to bed. Constantly having food in your system does not allow your metabolism to slow down.
