« Why I Take Vitamin Supplements?   6 Natural Appetite Suppressants To Help Lose Weight »

by Ray Lam

Are you one of those people that carefully watch everything they eat or someone that can and does eat everything that is given to them? Often these people do not care hold old the item is, they just don’t want to see it wasted. It’s the person with the sweet tooth you have to watch carefully! Yes, tons of us do this, it’s called instant gratification; many of us do not even know what a health supplement is.

If that sounds like you I would warn against such behavior that can have such a detrimental effect on your long term health. It must be obvious that food consumption of this type is going to be bad for your health in the long term so perhaps you need to start planning ahead and replace these bad habits with good ones like taking health supplements. These supplements often give you far more than you realize short term and long term. The worst thing to happen when you mention the subject is that someone will tell you how awful they are but has never tried them to give that opinion.

I have always been a believer of trying something before I say I don’t like it. You see, the health supplements I’m talking about are of the powdered variety; like chocolate or banana flavor that contains essential minerals. I have always taken some form of supplement; one of those is a multivitamin that I have been taking for over 10 years. I see no reason why everyone shouldn’t take some form of vitamin supplement each day as they don’t take up any of your time but give a great deal in return.

Another good health supplement I take is a shake called whey protein which I simply love. These drinks are absolute powerhouses of protein; it’s quite amazing really when you think about it. They are also so easy and convenient to drink and some are good enough to replace a meal. The other benefit is that they add about 30 grams of protein which really benefits muscle growth.

Health supplements these days are just crammed with everything good for you that the body needs but doesn’t always get from food, but nothing that is bad for you. You can be sure that the dreaded four of salt, sugar, saturated fats and cholesterol aren’t there because our diets contain too much of these already. I would suggest you have a look on the internet to see what health supplements are on offer, try them for a while and just see how good you feel.
